Ted Danson stands out, and is given really good material to work with. Veronica Mars -- I mean Kristen Bell -- is always amazing. Janet has to be my favorite thing about the show though -- the actress, the character, the idea of a "Janet" in general. It's sneakily smart -- below the slapstick lurks some serious existentialism. What is "good", what is "evil", what is a "soul". what does it mean to be a "person" or "alive"? If you don't want to wrestle with those ideas, you can just enjoy the silliness (fro-yo=the perfect hell food, the portrait on the wall of the stoner who guessed what the afterlife would be and got it 99% correct, giant shrimp attack, etc. etc. )
