L'alcool, le jeu et la prostitution y deviennent vite des industries florissantes. De nombreux prospecteurs y risquent leurs nouveaux gains et perdent gros, parfois même tout. Il y a une démesure dans cette ville champignon. Ça devient une attraction touristique. C'est vraiment quelque chose de très particulier. Hicimos todo el viaje desde San Diego hasta Seattle. Portland, en Oregon, también es una ciudad fantástica.

Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2014 Verified Purchase I'll begin by saying the plot of this story is depressing. As with Romeo and Juliet, there are no happy endings here. Having said that, though, I must still confess that I enjoyed watching this film. There are plenty of gorgeous people, beautiful sets and costumes, entertaining song and dance sequences, and heart-wrenching acting. If you have ever enjoyed anything that Michael Landon ever did on screen, you will love Shah Rukh Khan's performance. For some it could be too sappy, but for the die-hard romantic it's just right. One can truly believe the heartache that he's going through as his one true love marries another and he finds he cannot be satisfied with anyone else. Finally, I have an additional reason for the fans of Big Bang Theory to watch this movie. In one episode of that sitcom, Raj and Sheldon are discussing Indian cinema and comparing the two actresses who star in this film: Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit. Both of these lovely and talented ladies are awesome in this film.

A Godzilla II no sólo consolida al MonsterVerse como la franquicia más sólida que posee el estudio Warner en la actualidad, sino que además brinda la mayor reunión épica de los monstruos tradicionales asiáticos que se registró en este siglo. El último antecedente notable en abordar este concepto había sido la producción japonesa del 2001, Giant Monsters All-Out Attack, un hermoso festín bizarro donde el famoso reptil terminaba literalmente a las piñas con dos personajes icónicos, como Mothra y King Ghidora. Sin embargo esta nueva entrega hollywoodense elevó la misma premisa a otro nivel por medio de un tratamiento brillante de la acción y una buena adición de elementos del cine de terror. En esta oportunidad Warner apostó a un cambio de director que en mi opinión resultó una jugada clave en el resultado final de este film. Gareth Edwards, realizador de la primera entrega de Godzilla, fue reemplazado por Michael Dougherty (viejo colaborador como guionista de Brian Singer en Superman regresa y la saga X-Men), quien sobresalió en el cine de horror con Trick ´R Treat (2007) y Krampus (2015).
