Recensione di Marianna Cappi lunedì 17 luglio 2017      Samantha si sveglia e crede di avere davanti a sé una giornata speciale, perché è il "giorno dei cupidi" nel suo liceo e perché lei e Rob, il suo ragazzo, hanno in programma una serata importante. La giornata è in verità molto più speciale di quel che crede e si ripeterà uguale a se stessa, come per una sorta di scherzo del destino, finché Sam non capirà come viverla appieno, nel modo giusto: come se fosse l'ultima. Ry Russo-Young è una regista emblematica nel suo genere, perché appartiene a quella schiera di giovani registi indipendenti il cui approdo principale per i primi film è il Sundance Film Festival e le cui tematiche ruotano ripetitivamente (ma -dice il film- non è un difetto, è un'opportunità) attorno all'idea del diventare se stessi, inteso come processo permanente, come ricerca. In Prima di domani quest'idea è centrale ed esplicita, sta scritta a caratteri ben leggibili sulla parete di un muro, dentro una stanza vietata, non a caso, agli estranei.

Contudo, têm passado na minha cabeça nos últimos meses um papel mais ativo da Daenerys na morte das crianças nobres. Por dois motivos: O paralelismo de Moisés A Daenerys têm traços superficiais da história do profeta, sendo uma libertadora de escravos nos desertos por meio de 'milagres', a palavra que o próprio George usa para descrever o nascimento dos dragões. Eu sei apenas o básico da história de Moisés, mas até onde eu sei, o ponto final da libertação dos escravos é a liberação da última praga divina, que mata os filhos dos nobres escravistas. Mas ao contrário de Moisés, a Daenerys não possui um deus onisciente para te livrar de trabalhos mais sujos. Seus milagres são seus dragões, e ela é, em sua história, tanto deus quanto praga. O contraste do potencial de poder dos seus filhos, para o bom e para o mau, é algo constante na história da Mãe dos Dragões. "

You may not be familiar with the band Nat Turner Rebellion. Hopefully, you learned about the famous 1831 slave revolt (which inspired the group's name) in history class. However, this Philadelphia music group's entire body of work was all but lost to time until the folks over at Drexel University's Music Industry program unearthed the recordings from Sigma Sound Studios. With help from VMP, they were able to bring these nearly 50-year old recordings to life. I'm definitely not doing the story justice. I suggest to seek out the articles from Rolling Stone and NPR for a great read. Cool story, but what about the music?

La saison ne se détourne jamais de son double but, narratif: résoudre l'enlèvement de Hailey, et thématique: interroger la place de l'enfance dans nos vies et dans la société. Christopher Meloni (co-producteur) porte la série avec une énergie dévorante et débordante qu'on ne lui connaissait pas, même dans son rôle de Chris Keller ( Oz). Il est monstrueux, totalement débridé, toujours à la limite du grotesque mais ne basculant jamais dans le cabotinage vide d'un Neil Patrick Harris dans la saison 2 des Orphelins Baudelaire. Meloni incarne donc Nick Sax (comme Saint Nicolas, le protecteur des enfants, le 1×01 s'intitule Saint Nick …) qui apparaît d'abord bien plus proche du Père Fouettard puisque son métier l'amène d'emblée à tuer des frères mafieux présentés comme des gamins. À ses côtés, Happy, la licorne, s'exprime par la voix de Patton Oswalt qui a l'intelligence de l'interpréter au premier degré et sur un ton toujours en équilibre réussi entre gentillesse sincère et vrai désespoir moqueur.

When the episode was announced a couple months ago, it sounded like this may be a stan alone episode that focuses on the making of the musical, all framed as footage from Jughead's documentary. But there are too many storylines to wrap up, and not a whole lot of episodes left in season 2, so that is no longer the case. The musical is just another thing going on in the town.
